Adal....

Coming back to life!

When things go wrong and hope seems to leave you, there is always a place to go to.... HOME!

After a tough time of not being able to recover the smile that formerly invaded me, I finally let myself heal and cut finally the hope that kept me mourning.... I decided not to think about him anymore.

And one of the things I did, was to put all the memories in the Christmas tree, right next to the teddy bears that we decided to include in it. All the corks that reminded me of those beautiful times together were added to the tree as a sign of a new begining.... as something that helped me be who I am now but that will be gone with the season.

And therefore, the new year will be full with experiences of new wines, new hopes, new perspectives.

Keep track of them... I will definitely try to be more regular.

See ya

What I can't say!

Life is difficult sometimes, but even in difficult moments we have to indulge ourselves to remember that life, allthough bitchy, is worth living.
I had a nice weekend in the company of my family and we decided to have some sushi for lunch. I decided to give a try to a nice white wine that I tested during a "Vino and Club wine tasting dinner" maridated with fish and shrimp tostadas.
This wine if from the Torreon de Paredes winery.

This wine is actually slightly dry but very refreshing. It is made with Sauvignon Blanc just like the producer explains in his web page. Unfortunatelly there is something wrong with the upload of images so I won't be able to show it properly.

As we combined the sushi with this wine the result was "perfect". Just the right dryness and lots of flavour.

Try it.... Torreon de Paredes Sauvignon Blanc 1999.... great with sushi!

And just to keep you posted....
During this time of lousy behaviour and incredible anguish
I have the need to express myself
and this space gives me that opportunity.

I can't talk to my love... we decided not to do it...
for the relationship's sake
but there is so much love that
I just can't help myself ! I miss him sooooo much!

I'm trying to be patient
but it is not part of my repertoir
I just want this pain to go away
and start the healing process

But, whatever the result may be
I just have to say
that you are the love of my life
and that I will never ever forget
the taste of your lips
the strengh of your passion
the look in your eyes
and the awsome way you made me feel
while making love

Have a nice life
and I hope you find
someone much better than me
much prettier
more mature
more intelligent
more patient
more passionate
less complex
less inquisitive
less insecure
less demanding
less self centered
less family oriented
less catholic

Wish you the best always!!!!

Back on track?....

The idea of being back on track is really helpful but incredible painful to acheive!
To some extent I am hurt, not only my heart aches but my mind too.

I am away from my husband and, to be honest, part of me is happy and part of me is very sad.

The part of being sad is due to the betrayal. I feel -and to some extent I know- that I was cheated, that he wrote "love emails" to someone who was not his wife and let her express her feelings likewise.... and then.... he reached to our bed pretending that nothing happened...

He, appart from "writing" was "visiting" her in his idea of "helping her" in a tough time.... Bull shit!

I am sorry if I'm not writing about wine.... but about other stuff
but writing is helping me to think and to establish what I am not going to let go, and what I am willing to
forgive.... and sorry for changing the language again...

5. No estoy dispuesta a compartir a mi pareja

10. Estoy dispuesta a no volver a perder el control de mi misma si me siento amenazada.

MISS HIM...

I miss U :#
It hurts like hell not being able to call you or write to you....
I just need you sooooo much
JTA
Princesa

Feeling blue!

Growing up is really painful and now I really feel what love is, and how much is hiden within ourselves.
I hurt big time the man i love.. i really love... I can't imagine my life without him after sooo much we have lived.
But to some extent I am harmful to him... i hurt him and it hurts me more because I am still a child.
In my effort to make him close to me... I send him away!!
My heart is broken, torn into pieces and I am not finding a way to fix it
Everything came as in an avalanche... all at one time... all in just a couple of months....
I want to call him or write to him and let him know that I am still trying... that I would like him to
forgive me............. but he has the right to refuse to do it!
He warned me... and I didn't pay attention...

Right now he only thing I wish, is for him to read and feel this song.... it shows exactly how I feel.

Ansiedad
de tenerte en mis brazos
musitando palabras de amor

Ansiedad
de sentir tus encantos
y en la boca
volverte a besar

Quizás este llorando
al recordarte
mis lagrimas son perlas
que caen al mar
y el eco adormecido
desde lamento hace
que estes presente
en mi soñar

Quizás estés llorando al recordarme
y estreches mi retrato con frenecí
y hasta tu oido llegue
la melodia salvaje
y el eco de la pena
de estar sin ti

Perdoname PUNTOS GATO..... TE EXTRAÑO

Feeling alive.... hurts big time!

Yesterday... the usual thing that happens to newly wedds happened to me...
My husband was trying to solve his issues with someone else besides me...

Right,... he has the right to do it... specially if things are not working well.... but this hurts for several reasons:

1. The first....He didn't trust me... and now... I don't trust him either....
2. He thinks and truly hopes for me to be stupid and not realize what he wants....
3. He doesn't have the courage to face me and tell me what's wrong -well he claims to be confussed... OK, he might be, but the confussion is due to something... the split decision between his heart and his mind... between what he wants to do and what he has to do....
4. Because I saw it coming... I saw her... around him... hurt for her broken relationship....and looking for some tenderness....
5. He... as the blue charming prince... wants to save her... wants to help her take the best decition... ,
6. I decided to support him, and what I received...was the complain of being... too controling... too into it.... too invasive...
7. It hurts because he fooled himself.... and was blameing it to me....
8. Because now... I don't feel like being with him like this.....

He has to clear up his mind... but in the process he's hurting me and... I don't need it, I don't decerve being treated like that.... I am a PRINCESS and we are treated right, with love and deference... he really decerves to be by himself... to clear his mind....

But.....
I love him...
I don't want to leave him....
I want to work things out.....
Maybe... I don't want to give up so fast....
I want to fight for his love...

Because he is an awsome man
and I can help him become even greater...
I can give him a push, because I have been inspired throughout this relationship....and I know I can do it... just if he lets me to.
I have grown... I have matured...- well not so much because I called his mistress just to let her know what I thought about her and that is not very mature.... but at least I let the anger out of my chest.... sorry for her... good for me!-

This is me....
Not available -yet and hopefully not ever!-
but willing to change.... again... to learn... to grow... to play in the big leagues....
Te amo puntos gato... aunque estes confundido....
Quero hacerlo... pero lo haces tan dificil....

Back to basics.....

From time to time it's interesting to make a stop, and think about where we are standing... where do we come from?... what is what we really want to do?...

And in an afternoon, with some friends -as usual-, the perspetives of a change in life are appearing around a bottle of Chilean Red Wine. It is a Merlot from Torreon de Paredes, 2003. I don't have the information with me right now so I can't say anything more of it but what I CAN say is that the future, allthough uncertain, seems exciting! and the camembert and Roquefort cheeses that maridate with the Merlot were awsome!

My husband is looking forward to the beginning of a new job, new friends, new projects, new perspectives doing what he loves - to fly-.... allthough he is facing a new, unknown challenge ... to get to know me better...

I hardly believed that women could feel so strongly about things and I usually I discouraged the use of a "sixth sense" in women just to justify insecurities.... and now... I feel stupid... because it is exactly what I feel!

For some time, I have been feeling "wrong" about the way a coleague talks to my husband, and the feeling has become more powerful lately... just like if she is just trying to see how strongly he feels about me, and on the other hand it is just like if my husband wants to feel desired by someone else (besides me) and likes to flirt with the idea and with her!.
To be honest, I used to be like that... as a matter of fact it is how I met my husband and it is how I started to have feelings for him and probably that's why I project that experience in him and "see" things where there are not. Stupidities.... yeah! because he is with me, I can feel it, I know he is in my bed, ... but the worst of all.....is that he is feeling trapped, surrounded, and to some extent "imprisoned" by my jealousy.

I don't know where they come from, but definitely that have to go away.... I am very passionate about everything: my love, my family, my job, etc.... but now... It seems like I have centered my world in him, and this is just not right!.
I have to give him space and give myself space, but the major challenge is to find the balance.... It seems that I just can't find it!.... too much love can kill too! even for wine!

Anyway after this self-therapy, with no other purpose but to convince myself that a balance is mandatory I just want to finish today with an awsome recomendation.

When things go wrong... just go back to basics... and to me... the basics are the classics. It has been a revelation the "reading" of Don Quijote de la Mancha from Miguel de Cervantes that we received as a wedding gift. The book is not just a book is an audiobook so the experience is double when you are actually enjoying driving in rush hour and you really want it to continue even when you arrived at your destiny.

It is in Spanish -as it should be- and is an excellent choice for spending your, sometime useless, hours inside your car.

A detour in a life!

Some of us are really not "as young" as we think we are, and at this time in life, a change in perspectives is rather uncommon..... anyhow.... my life has changed and, as usual, wine and champagne were there... as silent witnesses eager to reveal themselves.

Two days ago, I decided to join my life with the most beautiful human being I have ever encountered and, luckyly enough, he decided to love me as well.... nice merge of existences with a low probability to occurr.... considering the number of humans in this planet, in this continent, in this country, in this city.....

The wedding was full with mexican appetizers , the music from Donna Lewis ... "I love you always forever" and a nice Monte Xanic .... a mexican white wine with a combination of Chenin and Colombard grapes (95 and 5% respectively). Chile was there too, in the presence of Casillero del Diablo, Cabernet Sauvignon.....the whole experience was awsome ... it's great being surrounded by loving people who wished us the best for our lives and blessings all over the place.

But today.... we had my parents, brothers and my sisters in law, my niece, a couple of cousins and the mother of one of my sisters-in-law for dinner. I have to confess that cooking is definitely not part of my escence so I decided to ask for "gourmet pizzas" to be delivered home and... the dinner started....

To maridate with a "4 formaggi" pizza and a "boscomare" pizza (mushrooms and shrimps) I decided to uncork a Pinot Noir wine from the Burgundy region..... Cotes de Beaune-Village 1998.....

Cotes de Beaune-Village was from the producer Louis Jadot, quite common in Mexico City, it was very soft, with a faded red colour, with lots of sediments and with a very delicate but complex flavour.... a good wine to share. Cotes de Beaune is found in Burgundy, France close to the city of Dijon. In general terms in Burgundy, the more specific the label is, the better the wine.... this is.... if the label just says "Bourgogne" it means that the grapes are from all over the region... if another label says "Cotes de Beaune" it gets more specific so the quality of the wine is better... then if it says "Cotes de Beaune-Village" it is even better... but the ultimate is when the label has the name of the town..... e.g. "Gevrey-Chambertin". So this was " a medium" wine but still it was very good.

But probably the frost on the cake was at the end of the evening.... when the star had the right temperature.... a 1990 bottle of Cuvée Dom Perignon....a great champagne!. I have to confess that ,to me... La veuve Cliquot was the ultimate champagne ever, but this "star" just took my breath away..... Try it... no special occation is needed.... well... to us... a wedding was definitely a special occasion, but still... no pretext is needed to enjoy the gifts of nature processed in the hands of expert champagneoises!.

Again... sharing a wine is what makes life worthliving... and when it is with your loved one.... it's even better!!!

It's a good day!

After soooo much time, I finally give myself some time to write what has happened to me lately....

It is rather unfortunatelly that I have not been as constant as I should because, so far, I have at least 30 different wines to write about and obviously I won't do so here today!

Today.... today it was a good day!, first of all I was invited by a researcher at UNAM (the University in Mexico where I did my undergraduate studies as well as my masters) to give a talk about the HR-MAS probe I use at CIP (where I work)... it went well (probably better than I expected)... and afterwards.... the traditional lunch took place. We went to an Argentinian restaurant "Piantao" in Cuicuilco (Mexico City), with three more researchers...We ordered "tonge", chorizo and a greek salad to share and each of us decided to go for a steak. I decided to have a "bifé de chorizo" and the other three gentlemen went for arrachera, vacio and "bife de lomo"...

Everything was perfect... a nice talk.... a good place to eat... great view.... great company... and finally the waiter came with the wine menu and at unison the three gentlemen said: "I'll have a beer"!!!!!! WHAT!!! BEER!!! with and excellent meat!!! BEER??????

I couldn't control myself and decided to drink "solo" by the glass while these gentlemen... researchers... the best of the country.... interesting people... with an awsome conversation...had... BEER?!!!!

Anyway... my Cono Sur Cabernet Sauvignon went well with my meat and I enjoyed it big time. It was very fruty, not as strong as I normally feel the Cabernet Sauvignon. I couldn't see the vintage... that's why I didn't look for a picture of it.

On my way home... in my ipod video (can't believe I could live without it before!) i listened to "ensambre Galileo" an awsome medieval-sefaradi-renacence music ad hoc for the lousy traffic frequently suffered in Mexico City.... (www.ensamblegalileo.com.mx)

But the best of all... was to arrive at home... and a gorgeous loving boyfriend (soon-to-be-husband) was waiting for me... with a huge hug and with the most beautiful words in his mouth: Hi beautiful princess, welcome home, I'm so proud of you!

After "beer?!"... his words just made my day!

A change of perspectives....

Despite the fact of being Spanish my first language, I've decided to change it for english.

Several reasons come to my mind, to begin with, if (luckily) any person not spanish speaker decides to surf in my blog this will facilitate it and an exchange of opinions might take place.

The second reason is that sometimes while taking about "something else" (within the title) expressing feelings, sensations, emotions, etc. in our own language might give the sensation of "nakedness" and exposure. This might sound bizarre but lately every time I say something that touches my heart I feel exposed to rare reactions, to be misunderstood, not being able to choose correctly the exact words under the statement of being spanish my native language. Therefore writing in a foreign language will encourage me to choose more carefully the exact words to express myself.

And the third reason is that sometimes is easier to find information about "wine" in english so the act of translating is dramatically reduced as well as the danger of not choosing the words carefully.

Anyhow if someone feels that not being able to read my weird thoughts in Spanish is not "proper" and will rather encourage me to change it back to how it was, please write my a comment and I will consider it.

Sorry for not taking about wine today... today "otras cosas" ruled!

Pinot Noir altenativo....
